As a child, Siyi loves flowers, butterfly, fishes, and birds. Grown up in the countryside of Shanghai, she spent significant part of her childhood on assisting her father in platting flowers in his garden, catching butterfly in the backyard, feeding fishes in the pond, and feeding birds, pigeons, and chicks. These fondnesses have greatly influenced her recent artistic creation of the Chinese brush paintings. Most of her art works use flowers, butterfly, birds, and fishes as the subjects, which have been displayed in local and international art exhibition and contests. Several of her works have received State and International awards
